Complimentary Hands-on, instructor-led classes are offered on a regular basis for new clients and for those requiring a refresher. Scheduled classes include:

Classes are held three times annually in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, and Ottawa. We also have a Virtual Training option

    Expert News Archive Searching on FPinfomart.ca
    • PREREQUISITE: Advanced knowledge of FPinfomart.ca or completion of "Navigating FPinfomart.ca " session
    • Learn to use command (Boolean) language to construct sophisticated search queries in Expert News Archives
    • Please note: This class teaches you to search Fpinfomart's Archives module using Expert query language. All other aspects of the Website are covered in our Navigating class.

    FP Advisor Overview
    • A complete overview of all the features, functions, and content in the FP Advisor product. You will be introduced to:
      • FP Reports: Learn how to extract information on currently and formerly traded Canadian companies from FP Corporate Surveys, FP Predecessor & Defunct, FP Corporate Reports, and FP Analyzer.
      • Additional Databases: Search for corporate contacts, subsidiaries, corporate names, commercial law records, and private companies.
      • FP Dividends: Search for up coming and historical dividend payments on publicly traded Canadian companies. View corporate events including stock split/consolidation, redemption announcements, and right offerings.
      • FP New Issues: Locate public offerings and private placements issued by Canadian companies, governments, and agencies. Sort new issues by lead underwriters, underwriters, lawyers, and accountants.
      • Financial Post Crosbie Mergers & Acquisitions: Search for recent and historical information on Mergers & Acquisitions involving Canadian Acquirors, Vendors, and Targets.

    When calling/e-mailing to register, please be sure to specify:
    • Your name in full and your company's name
    • Business phone # (include area code) and e-mail address
    • Your account # (if known)
    • Your user ID and password
    • Preferred city, date and course name
    Failure to provide the above info may result in delays in booking your training.

    Cancellation Fees
    A $75.00 cancellation fee will be charged to registrants who cancel less than 3 days prior to course date. This fee is also applicable to those registrants who confirm attendance but do not attend.

    Seminar Fees
    Seminar fees apply to individuals who do not currently have an active FPinfomart.ca account.

    • Full-day seminar: $230(Cdn) + GST
    • Half-day seminar: $115(Cdn) + GST

    Onsite Visits
    Let one of our client services representatives visit your office for training. Available on demand in Toronto, and quarterly (on a limited basis) in other cities (dates coincide with our classroom training sessions, when our trainers are travelling).

    • "Train the Trainer" Let us show you how to assist and train others within your organization on FPinfomart.ca products.
    • Individual Sessions Sit down one-on-one with a client services representative to cover specific questions and search issues.
    • Group sessions Is your organization new to our product? Let us demonstrate to your end-users how to get started. Especially appropriate for new Special Edition subscribers.
    • Open House support Showcasing an FPinfomart.ca product as part of a library or Information Center open house? We'd be happy to attend and help you address questions your users might have about our products.

     Virtual Training
    All of our courses and customized training options are available as Virtual sessions. We use Webex to simulate the interactive classroom environment. View the instructor's computer from the convenience of your own desk, or a boardroom at your own location. Interact with the instructor over voice teleconference as she conducts one of our scheduled monthly Virtual classes, or a customized session tailored to you and your organization. Save time and travel - let us come to you "virtually!"
