Use FP New Issues to quickly drill down into specific aspects of the new issue/IPO industry that are of vital interest to your firm or clients. You can search for new issues by security type, industry code, gross proceeds, bookrunners, underwriters and lawyers. There are five different search pages to meet your specific needs: main search (default), issuer search, lawyer/auditor search, league table, summary tables. Also, Summary Tables are available to give you an overview of new issue activities. Information goes back to 1993 and is exportable into Microsoft Excel.
Information is updated daily and includes public offerings and private placements of Canadian companies, governments and agencies.

Qualified Issuers
- Canadian-incorporated companies (for equity issues, company must be a public company)
- Nnon-Canadian-incorporated companies which are wholly owned financing (as opposed to operating) subsidiaries
- Federal, provincial and municipal governments
- Federal and provincial agencies whose debt is federally/provincially guaranteed
Qualified Issues
Equity
- All public offerings (excluding TSX Venture short form offerings)
- Private placements (excluding brokered special warrant deals) > $1.5 million
- Brokered special warrants, irrespective of whether the issuer has received the total proceeds
- Preferred shares and preferred securities
- Public mutual fund-linked notes
- Convertible debt and debt to be settled by equity > $50 million unless part of a multi-tranche offering with combined proceeds greater than $50 million
- Rights and warrant offerings are not included
Debt
- All public offerings
- Minimum term of one year plus one day
- If issue is part of a tranche offering, no minimum term
- Bonds, debentures, medium term notes, notes, asset- and mortgage-backedsecurities, deposit notes and bank-issue trust securities
- Deposit notes and private placements with a $50 million minimum
- Medium term notes issued through “continuous issuance programs” have NOT been included
- Equity-linked notes are NOT included
Domestic financings
- Deals sold in Canada and deals sold both in Canada and the U.S. (unless separate prospectuses were filed or the vast majority of the capital was raised in the U.S.)
International financings
- Yankee, Euro and global issues
IPOs
- Only the common equity portion of split share deals
- Exclude IPOs via rights offerings or dividends in kind
Qualified Underwriters
- Domestic – underwriting syndicate (excludes selling group)
- U.S. – managers (excludes underwriting syndicate)
- Euro – leads and co-leads (excludes co-managers)
