Person Search lets you search our corporate data for names that appear in "people" or "director" fields. The seven databases that contain this information are: Financial Post Corporate Surveys, Financial Post Directory Of Directors, Canadian Federal Corporations and Directors, ProFile Canada, Owen Media's Canadian Trade Index, Thomson Gale – Wards and Thomson Gale – Encyclopedia of Associations.
To use Person Search and to view full records, your organization must subscribe to FP Advisor module.
Enter the name of the person you are searching in the box provided. A search for 'John Smith' will also retrieve 'John F. Smith' or 'John Frederick Smith'.
If you only know the person's last name, you may conduct a search with this information. However, if the name is very common, you may not be able to find the correct record. If you have information about the company that employs the individual, please consider searching for the company in another area of FP Advisor module to see if there are records that can provide you with the individual's full name.
You can also use the * symbol to truncate names. For example, if you are unsure if the last name of the person you are seeking is Roberts or Robertson, enter the last name as Roberts*. Please do not truncate initials.
