Circulation is the number of copies of the publication were printed on given day and Audience Reach is the potential number of people who may have viewed or heard a broadcast.
Circulation/Audience Reach figures are not available for Newswire articles, as it is impossible to calculate. A newswire story will (by definition) be distributed and reprinted in an unpredictable number of sources.
The database containing Circulation/ Audience Reach figures is updated quarterly.
A note about Circulation/ Audience Reach in the Archives
Users should be aware that the circulation/audience reach figure attached to a story from the Archives will always be the current exposure figure, not the circulation at the time of article publication.
