What are Personal Profiles?
Personal Profiles are saved searches which allow you to monitor the media for items of interest to you and your organization. By using keywords and phrases to define topics you wish to follow, FPinfomart.ca Personal Profiles will clip relevant articles, Blogs and videos every day from our complement of sources. Your Profiles are updated every time you re-load your Personal Profiles page. NOTE: If you do not subscribe to Video Media Monitoring you will not retrieve video results.

Your Personal Profiles can be changed at any time. You can change the title, add or delete keywords, turn filters on and off, or change the sources that are searched. Simply open the Profile you wish to change, and edit it.

Viewing Personal Profiles
To view your Personal Profiles, click Personal Profiles on the left navigation menu. You will be presented with a summary of your Profiles for today. Note that only the first few hits for each Profile are shown, even if many hits are available that day. If you see a message such as "First 1 of 6 news hits shown" just under the Profile title, you have additional stories available to you. Click the title of the Profile to view more hits.

Once you have clicked the title of a Personal Profile, you have the opportunity to view stories from the most recent 14 days which meet those search criteria (only 10 days for video results). Use the date drop-down box at the top of an individual Profile's page to select a different date.

Viewing Video Results
To view your Video results (Transcript and Video) click the headline of the Peek and the transcript will open -- the transcripts are unedited Closed Caption text. To view the video, click on the video thumbnail to play the video. NOTE: Videos play in Flash format. TV clips are 10 minutes in length, with your searched keyword usually toward the middle of the 10 minute clip.

Editing Personal Profiles
You always have complete control over your Personal Profiles. You may edit or delete a Profile at any time, and updated results are displayed immediately! To edit the title, search terms, part of the story searched, or filters used in a Profile, open the Profile you wish to edit from the Results Summary screen. Make any changes you require and save your changes.

If you wish to delete a Personal Profile, simply click the "Delete" link next to the name of the Profile you wish to delete.

Morning E-mail
With FPinfomart.ca, you are provided with the option to receive a once-daily (Monday through Friday) e-mail message containing the headlines of the first four hits for each of your Personal Profiles. You must come to FPinfomart.ca to view the full text of the stories, and to view the rest of your hits if there are more than four in any Personal Profile. By default, the morning e-mail is turned ON. To turn it off, go to the Preferences section of FPinfomart.ca and use the checkbox provided.
