FPinfomart offers a "Broadcast On-Demand" service for those who do not subscribe to our Broadcast Monitoring service, but need to obtain a video or radio clip.

Need an occasional clip but don’t subscribe to broadcast access? Simply contact our Customer Service department by sending an e-mail to broadcastmonitoring@canwest.com. Please include the following details:

• TV or Radio
• Channel (e.g. CBC Calgary)
• Time (e.g. 5:35 - 5:38 p.m. Eastern Time)
• Name of program, if known (e.g. "The National")
• Any other identifying information (e.g. "The interview with the CEO of XYZ corp")
• Your name, e-mail address, phone number, and company (if applicable)

Upon receipt of your request, Customer Service will contect you to request payment information (credit card), as well as to ask you to sign and return (by fax) a copyright agreement for the content you will receive. Please do NOT send credit card information by e-mail. Our Customer Service department will respond within 1 business day. Our Customer Service hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

You will receive an e-mail containing a link from which you'll be able to donwload a copy of your requested clip. You'll also have access to a transcript of the clip, if requested. TV transcripts are created from the closed-captioning of the program; Radio transcripts are created manually.

The fee for this service is $100, plus taxes and copyright fees, and includes search, retrieval, delivery, and a permanent copy of the clip to be used within your organization. No public or external distribution of video content is permitted.

Television clips are available from 2 minutes after broadcast, to as late as 10 days following broadcast. For a complete list of the channels available, please click here.

Please note: Our downloadable video is in Flash Video (FLV) format. It is viewable with many free Flash Video Players, including FLV Player and VLC media player. You must download and install one of these stand-alone Flash players if you do not already have one. These videos will NOT play in Windows Media Player.
